Yes, an Aged Care Assessment of the prospective resident is required by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). Your doctor can organise this or you can contact My Aged Care directly.

If a room is available, we welcome those in need of respite care. We think it helps people remain at home for longer and is also an excellent way to see whether you would like to move to a Nazareth House permanently in the future. As soon as we welcome you into a Nazareth House we work with you, your family and your doctor to create a personalised care plan. This plan ensures we care for you in a way that suits your physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. We regularly review your care plan with you, your family and your doctor.

Yes. Our nursing, care, ancillary and support staff are highly trained and experienced. The Facility Manager at each House will be happy to discuss in more detail with you.

Yes. Your doctor is welcome to visit you or we can organise a GP for you. We can also arrange for other allied health professionals to visit you if you require them.

Yes. The Sisters of Nazareth live on-site. Each Nazareth House has a chapel where mass is held daily. Regular services are offered for other Christian denominations.

Yes. Each Nazareth House has its own chef who oversees the menu selection and daily preparation of meals. We select local seasonal produce to ensure you receive fresh, nutritious food daily.

We do. Our chefs plan meals to meet specific dietary needs.

As a resident, we want you to feel Nazareth Care is your home. Friends and family are welcome to visit whenever they like. For the safety of our residents, guests and staff, we ask that all visitors sign in and follow our house rules.

Yes. We believe social and emotional support is vital. Each Nazareth House has a dedicated lifestyle and wellbeing team – we encourage our residents to celebrate events including footy finals, Christmas and Mother’s Day. There is a weekly activities calendar for all to join in and share in the fun and laughter.

Yes. The vocation of our sisters and the dedication of our nursing and care staff provide  support at the end of a resident’s life. This support is for our residents,  family and loved ones. We also offer bereavement support.

Yes. You are permitted up to 52 days of social leave each year. Accommodation fees still apply while you are away.

Yes. For your legal security, a comprehensive legal document needs to be signed between you and Nazareth Care.
