Respite is care in a residential aged care home for a short period of time
We warmly welcome and encourage our respite residents to embrace our home during their short stay with us. If you or a loved one need a short break, we welcome you to your stay in our home. Respite care is an option for those recently discharged from hospital to recover fully before returning home or into aged care permanently.
When considering respite care in our Home, please provide us with access to your most recent assessment information with My Aged Care. This assessment confirms respite care is available to you and details your respite care requirements. You may also wish to provide us with the period you intend receiving respite care, so we may confirm your booking with us. The Government approves 63 days respite care each financial year.
Respite residents pay the basic daily care fee for each day during their stay. The Australian Government determines the basic daily fee and reviews it twice yearly.
If you would like more information, please visit our explanation of costs page, which provides the current basic daily care fee.
